MISSION

 

To promote the personal, professional and continuing advancement of black engineering student at UCSD.

 

GOALS

 

1. To increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.

2. To continue to encourage and influence young students in our communities to consider pursuing science and engineering fields.

3. To foster enduring and personal connections between students, faculty, industry, and alumni.

 

4. To enrich the community by actively developing and participating in local science education efforts.

 

 

MANAGMENT

 

The National Society of Black Engineer student chapter at UCSD is led by an executive board consisting of President, Vice President External, Treasure, and Vice President Internal, Secretary, Outreach chair, Webmaster, TESC representative, and Publicity.

 

Supporting diversity at Jacob School of Engineering

NSBE is committed to promoting diverse programs that enrich underrepresented engineering student professionally and academically.

NSBE promotes program that encourage and influence young students in impoverished urban communities to pursue science and engineering. NSBE 's outreach program creates more dynamic interactive pre-college outreach programs that target minority into science and engineering study.
